The   Ministry   of   Education   and   Science   of    Ukraine informs that on the the 12-14 November in Kiev and in the period of 16- 18 April 1010 in the City of Kyiv in premises of Business and Cultural Cooperation Center “Ukrainian House” (2 Khreschatyk Str.) the yearly specialized exhibition “Education and career – 2009” and International Education Fair «Education Abroad – 2008» will take place. In additional will be organised for the first time aswell the International Education Fair held in Kharkiv on the 16 November 2009.




The Program of the exhibition provides for seminars and round tables on the problems of international educators’ cooperation and implementation of new technologies in education, presentation of home and foreign institutions of higher education various youth programs, students and teachers exchange programs; study of the experience of cooperation with foreign countries in the area of education and youth employment.
The participation in the exhibition and the events is at the costs of sponsors and special funds.

The events are organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

The International Education Fair "Education and Career" was launched in Kiev in 2002. "Education Abroad" is an integral and growing sector of comprehensive annual "Education and Career" held twice a year by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

Approximately 30'000 people will visit the next Ukrainian Education Fair.

Ukraine is situated in the south-eastern part of Central Europe. It occupies the territory of southern-west part of East-European Plain, part of the Carpathians and the Crimean Mountains.  From the north to the south Ukraine stretches for   893 km, from  the west to the east - 1316 km. Ukraine’s territory lies in the temperate belt and is washed by the Black sea and the Sea of Azov.  The geographical position of Ukraine between Eastern and Western peoples and cultures has made a great impact on the history and modern development of Ukraine. Ukraine has inland and marine borders of 7590 km. The inland border extends for 5631 km to the south, west and east. The length of the marine border is 1959 km. Ukraine borders on Russian Federation (inland border of 2063 km), Republic of Belarus (975 km), Republic of Poland (542,5 km), Republic of Slovakia (98 km), Hungary (135 km), Romania (608 km) and Republic of Moldova (1194 km).

The territory of Ukraine is equal to 603,700 sq. km or 5,7% of European territory and 0,44% of the world. Ukraine is bigger than France (544,000 sq. km), Spain (505,000 sq. km), Sweden (450,000 sq. km), Germany (356,300 sq. km), Poland (312,700 sq. km). The territory of Ukraine consists of the Autonomy Republic of Crimea and 24 regions (oblast).
