4-5 October Days of British Education:

The specialized fair „The Days of British Education”  is a unique and cost-effective event to achieve those goals and to explore the beautiful Baltic countries.  

This unique event will take place in Riga, Latvia on 4-5 October 2008 ,Tallinn, Estonia on 6-7 October 2008, 10-11 October Sofia - Bulgaria and 12-13 October Bucharest Romania . It is the only educational fair in the Baltics which focuses on one country - the UK.

Participants:

International language schools, state and private secondary schools; colleges; universities; executive centres; summer camps; professional colleges and business schools; state and public organizations involved in education abroad industry.  

28-29 November and 20-21 March 2009

The International Education Fair / Study Abroad held in November and in March is open to all the exhibitors and is co-ordinated with the ministry of education.

This events are the largest fair of its kind in Latvia and allows International and Baltic organisations to present their products and services to this fast growing market.

Cost 2008




The demand for undergraduate studies in the UK has considerably increased since EU accession. Regarding the UCAS statistical data the number of applicants from Latvia in academic year 2007 has grown for 50, 7 % in comparison with the academic year 2006, from Estonia - for 33,1 % and from Lithuania - for 29,3 %.

Feedback 2007:

Last year (2007) the Fair attracted more than 40 educational organizations from abroad – universities, language schools, colleges, business and boarding schools. The fair was actively promoted at secondary schools, in the mass media, on popular Internet web sites and, as a result, more than 5000 highly motivated students and their parents as well as educational agents from Latvia , Estonia , Lithuania , and Poland attended the event. Most of the education providers were impressed by Latvian and Lithuanian students' interest in studies abroad.
