The 7° international higher education, vocational training and qualification improvement exhibition LEARNING, STUDIES, CAREER will be held in February 2009 under the motto – “The Wisest Investment” and is organised in co-operation with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania.
The goal of the exhibition is to inform the public about career planning, help people to acquire vocational qualification meeting the today’s level of technologies, culture and personal abilities and introduce opportunities for lifelong learning – satisfaction of one’s needs for knowledge, pursuit of new qualifications and competences required for professional career and giving a meaning to life.
During six years, the exhibition “Studies” became the most important education event of the year in which all vocational schools and higher education establishments of Lithuania take part. Every year more and more companies that organise language and business courses and foreign universities and colleges join the ranks of exhibition participants. During four years, the number of foreign exhibitors increased by 8.3 times. Over 45 000 people visit the exhibition every year in order to choose a field and module of their studies, to get information on studies abroad, possibilities of language studies and improvement of professional competences. The major target group, as many as 56%, consisted of representatives of 15 – 20 years age group who visited the exhibition in order to collect information about studies in Lithuanian universities and colleges, compare conditions of studies in Lithuania and abroad. 19% of visitors attended the exhibition in search for information about studies abroad.
The typical visitor of WEBA Platform will be undergraduate and postgraduate students.
